Frequently asked questions

If you are exploring outsourced finance support, it is natural to have questions. Here are some of the ones we get asked most often.

What does Stryde do?

We do everything a CFO/FD does, everything an accountant does including full financial operations support, and for businesses running on EOS, we sit in your finance seat®. Stryde acts as an outsourced finance partner for ambitious businesses. Practically, this can include finance leadership, advisory support, process and systems reviews, bookkeeping, payroll, tax and wider finance operations.

What size businesses do you typically work with?

We are best suited to ambitious, growth-focused businesses that want stronger financial clarity and better decision support. Most businesses are above £1m revenue or are moving rapidly towards this

Do I need a full-time Finance Director?

Not always. Many businesses need senior finance input before they need a full-time senior hire.

What is a PSP pulse?

PSP pulse is our review of your current finance setup across people, systems and processes.

Can you support both the day-to-day and the strategic side?

Yes. One of the main benefits of working with Stryde is access to support across the full finance function.

How do your packages work?

Our packages are designed to reflect different levels of support. They are a guide, but we tailor support to the needs of each business.

Are you just for EOS businesses?

No, but we are particularly well suited to EOS-run businesses because we understand the rhythm, accountability and clarity EOS is designed to create; this as we run on EOS ourselves.

Do you work with early-stage businesses raising funding?

Yes, where the business needs stronger reporting, forecasting and finance credibility to become more investor ready.

How are you different from a typical fractional FD or CFO?

Many providers are built around one person. Stryde gives clients access to a wider team with different strengths across finance leadership, reporting, tax, compliance, systems and delivery. That improves continuity, responsiveness and the overall client experience.

What happens first if we want to explore working together?

The best first step is either a discovery call or the Financial Clarity Index®.

Do you replace an in-house finance team?

Sometimes, but not always. In some businesses we act as the finance function. In others, we strengthen the team already in place.

Do you only help with compliance?

No. Compliance matters, but it is only a small part of the picture.
